We recently produced the design and decor for an international corporate group’s events here in the Cayman Islands. The week consisted of a series of celebrations and events for their group which we were more than happy to be a part of. We were luck enough to be working with a group that allowed us plenty of leeway in terms of the design and this allowed our creative juices to flow. The first of the events was this beach reception at the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa in Grand Cayman.
This event was inspired by Tommy Bahama – free flowing, vibrant colors, utterly tropical, and forcing you to unwind in the lantern lit cabanas whose lounge areas were created using relaxed white-washed palette wood panels. The colors of the evening were orange and sea-tones including light teals, sandy hues, white-washed materials and brown bamboo accented with tropical vibrant flowers and greenery.
Surf boards accented the cabanas along with lanterns in varrying shapes and sizes while starfish made appearances at the bars and cocktail tables. A surfboard lounge area was set up on the beach using brown ottomans as seating – a delightful and appropriately festive way to enjoy cocktails with colleagues. Utterly perfect. We also premiered our light-up RUM bar which served up sweet drinks to wind guests into an evening of rest and relaxation.
