We’ve discovered that knowing how to propose to your bridesmaids is actually an issue. So, if you’ve found yourself in these shoes, have no worries; you are not alone. If anything, it signals that you deeply care about your loved ones.
Proposing to your bridal party is a great way to acknowledge and honor your relationship with them. So, it would be best if you put some thought into carrying that out.
There are no rules that state when you should pop the question, however. If you ask us, it’s best not to wait for too long, but it is entirely up to you. Just make sure it’s in time for you to know how many people your makeup and hair artists will be working on.
Here are some inspirations and ideas on how to propose to your bridal party.
Ask Them on A Date
You can take your bridal party member for a coffee, dinner, or even brunch. As you both share a good time, pop the question. Don’t worry, it’s as simple as just asking them. They’d already be expecting it and will be so delighted to say yes.
Send Them Some Flowers
You can never go wrong with flowers. So, this is a great way to pop the question to your bridal party. If you know the flowers that they love in particular, then that works. Send them flowers with a card and the question written in it.
Another variation is sending a cake along with the flower. “Will you be my bridesmaid” could come as the icing on the cake.
Send A Gift Pack
This is one of our favorite ways to propose to your bridal party. It offers flexibility, and you can add whatever you want. Some great options are personalized mugs, lovely getting-ready silk robes, and even jewelry. We’ve also seen cute undies, candles, and a bottle of wine.
You can order a gift box from an online company and have it sent directly to their house. This is one way to keep the process stress-free and fun. To complete your proposal, put the question on the mug or add a card asking them to be a part of your bridal party.
Send Them A Custom Card
Many graphic designers will gladly take on the task of helping you create a custom card for this. A design with your favorite picture, for example, would be excellent. You can also use an image of a place you both know or thereabouts.
Most importantly, include the words asking them to be a part of your bridal party. You can bet they’d be excited to say and yes and even share it on their social media.
Throw A Private Pizza Party
If you both love pizza, you can use it for popping the question. Ask your friend over for pizza, and then write the question on the underside of the lid. That way, you’ll be right by their side as they open it and get the surprise. Make sure you have tissues handy for this one because it’s sure to be emotional!
Take Them Wine Tasting
Going wine tasting is so much fun. If you’ve been planning to do it for a while, now’s the time. So, take your friend out, and let them know how much they mean to you in the process. You can then tell them you want them by your side for the wedding. They will be so excited to say yes, and you’ll both have a good time too.
Use Their Personal Interests
One of the best ways to propose to your bridal party is to use a known passion of theirs. Create an opportunity based on that, and then pop the question. For example, if one of them loves books, you can send over a book with a card asking them tucked inside.
Do A Scavenger Hunt
If you have a fun weekend to yourselves, how about setting up a scavenger hunt? If you and your friends love these kinds of activities, it’ll be a great way to propose. Add clues that incorporate special memories, a private joke, or some secrets that you share. All these can then lead to a gift box and the question asking them to be part of your bridal party.
DIY Your Gift Boxes
Rather than purchase gifts outright, you can go the way of DIY for your proposal gift box. Create a photo album of your beautiful memories as part of the contents. Make sure to include the question at the end. It’s something they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives. Your bridal party member would be so delighted to receive your gift box with this inside.
