Well ladies and gents, it was certainly an eventful week at Celebrations with the staff partaking in the Cayman Islands PRIDE workshops, CEO & Creative Director JoAnne Brown speaking at the Jamaica Bridal Expo and some very new and exciting products hitting our gift shop shelves! Yay!
The entire staff here at Celebrations has taken part in the Cayman Islands PRIDE Workshop – an amazing day put on by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism to review the history, culture and facts about the Cayman Islands. We thought we know a lot but boy there was so much more that was brought to our attention and it was truly a fascinating event that has equipped us with some great knowledge and facts to fill you all in with when you visit us! Did you know that Cayman’s Sir Turtle Logo was designed way back in the day by good friend to Celebrations, Suzy Soto? We did not know that! Suzy placed the first lock on to our Love Lock Wall in February. We were proud to begin with but now we’re just beaming! The Hungry Horse also served up some amazing local grub for the staff and we couldn’t recommend them more. Seriously delicious Cayman goodies.
Next on our list of excitement this past week – our very talented and amazing CEO & Creative Director, JoAnne V. Brown (or as we like to call her, JVB) spoke at the Jamaica Bridal Expo in Montego Bay on all of the latest trends, what to look out for in 2016, how to predict what’s to come in 2017 and the importance of trend forecasting! The team at the Jamaica Bridal Expo was so gracious and a special thanks also to the Rose Hall Hilton in Montego Bay and everyone who attended!
Finally, we’re so excited about the latest brand in our store – a local one at that – 3 Girls & A Kiln!! Their products are little works of art. So beautiful. Hand painted ceramics and now you can shop until you drop for them at our location in Camana Bay! Also on shelves, our very own JoAnne Brown’s line of bath & body goods in delicious scents!
