How did your love story begin? Tell us how you met and when you knew you were the one for each other!

Seth and I were neighbors our last year at Baylor and crossed paths quite often. I was usually outside playing with my fur baby, Gracie, and he was typically throwing the football or playing a mean game of wiffle ball with his roommates and other neighbors. Seth will tell you Gracie was who initially caught his eye!

We were close friends for the first few months of our relationship. He was my coach for intramural flag football and my go-to date for Torchy’s. It wasn’t until we walked through Cameron Park all the way to McLennan Community College that we realized we had stronger feelings for each other.

Our first official date was at Santa’s Wonderland outside of College Station on January 1, 2016. (We won’t count the time my entire family crashed our original first date to see the Houston Zoo Lights.) From then on, we were inseparable. If we were not in class, it’s nearly guaranteed we were hanging out together.

The long distance relationship began when I graduated and moved to Dallas, and Seth transferred to U of H and moved back to Houston. Since July 2016, we have seen each other every weekend except for approximately 10 weekends total. Doing the math, that equates to about 48,000 miles total that we have traveled to see each other in two years. (Seth definitely did 70%+ of that.) To put that into perspective, the total distance around the world is 24,900 miles.

Needless to say, we are so excited to finally be together again in Dallas and to do life as husband and wife!

Tell us about the proposal! Where, when and how did this special moment happen?

Seth proposed the weekend before 4th of July at my parents’ lake house. He and my mom strategically planned to have his and my entire family there to take “family photos.” As we were taking photos, my sister had us take couples’ photos by the fire pit. It was there that Seth got down on one knee and popped the question! Little did I know Seth had arranged for a professional photographer to capture the moment and had my best friend fly down from her vacation in Boston to surprise me. It was the best day ever to date!

What made you decide to have your special day in the Cayman Islands?

My family has vacationed in Grand Cayman every year for the past 14 years. Seth has been able to travel with us for the last three years and fell in love with it as much as we already do, so it wasn’t hard to convince him to get married on the island!

What is inspiring the style and design of your wedding? Tell us about the flowers, dress, etc…

The dress is a secret, but the overall theme is going to be romantic and botanical with as many flowers as possible (shades of peach, blush and lush greenery). It will be at Grand Old House and very intimate for a small group of 50 guests.

Congratulations, Allie & Seth! We can’t wait to celebrate their beautiful wedding day!
