Here is to my daughter and her new husband. Raise your glasses and remember this truth, her lucky man and I have each gained something this fine and blessed day. He gains a wife and a companion for life, while I gain a whole new stack of bills to pay. (source: www.about.com)
Dad will pick you up when you fall, brush you off to try again. Dad will be your shoulder to cry on, your voice of reason and your encouragement to succeed. He raised you to go and find your own way, even though he wants to be there to hold your hand every step of the way. He shines with pride and will not find any fault in you, he loves you unconditionally.
On your wedding day, he will hand you over even though his heart breaks to let you go. He’s a bundle of mixed feelings – happiness intermingled with sadness as he gives away his favorite girl.
To all the wonderful Dads who has seen us through the years, let’s celebrate them not just one day of the year, but every day for the rest of our lives!
